GBM Fuel Inc dba American Propane · Last updated October 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GBM Fuel Inc dba American Propane (“we,” “us”) collects and uses information about our propane delivery and service customers.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us to open and service your account: your name, service and billing address, phone number(s), email address, and records of propane deliveries, equipment, service work, invoices, and payments on your account.

How we use your information

We use your information to schedule and make propane deliveries, perform service work, bill you, and communicate with you about your account — including sending you text messages about completed deliveries and account activity if you have provided your mobile number.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile phone number and consent, we send you transactional text messages such as propane delivery confirmations and account notifications. Message frequency varies and is tied to activity on your account — typically a few messages per year, after each delivery. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or reply HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Text-message information is used only to deliver the notifications you signed up for and to operate our delivery and billing systems. No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Payments and QuickBooks

We use QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payments (a payment service provided by Intuit Payments Inc.) to keep our books and to process card payments for customers who choose to pay by card. If you give us a card to keep on file, the card number is sent securely and directly to QuickBooks Payments; we do not store it. Our system keeps only a reference to the saved card, the last four digits, the card brand and the expiration date. We may place a temporary authorization hold on the card before a delivery and charge only the actual amount of the delivery, including taxes and fees. Customer names, addresses, invoices and payments are shared with QuickBooks so our accounting records are accurate. Intuit’s handling of that data is governed by Intuit’s own privacy statement.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate our business (for example, our SMS delivery provider, payment processor, and software vendors), and only as needed for them to perform those services, or when required by law.

Data retention

We keep account and delivery records for as long as you are a customer and afterward as required for tax, legal, and business purposes.
